About the GTC DRS:

Last summer we decided to find a way to create our own driver rating system for GT Champions, so drivers can gain or lose in our private events. A system that would calculate driver SR and DR, similar to what iRacing does, but with a twist…we can adjust the Incident Points for incidents that were clearly another driver at fault.
Well, after more hours than I want to admit, we are in the beta testing phase. Alpha testing was done in our Porsche Cup, which helped me gather real race data to test with. Adjustments and testing got us to this point, where we will be beta testing with the GT3 Open series.

Items to note.

• We will be starting with your current iRating at the end of round 1 (or the first round you participate in).
• We will start everyone with a 3.0 Safety Rating.
• We will be calculating your incident points, and it will affect your GTC-SR, so be more aware of those.
• We will be calculating your finish position by class, and it will affect your GTC-DR.
• Your class is determined by your GTC-DR & GTC-SR.
• This system beta test will help us know how the GTC Rating System will translate into Driver Classes for the future seasons
• Your GTC-SR can really affect your class, so this should encourage all drivers to avoid contact, off tracks etc.
• YES, you can appeal Incident Points in a race, if someone else is at fault for an incident. Such as a driver blasting through a chicane and hitting people, or pushing someone off track.
